NO TIME FOR HEROES: NO TIME FOR HEROES

NO TIME FOR HEROES is a project based on the collaboration between three curators from Czech Republic, Italy and Poland - Dagmar Šubrtová (CZ), Susanna Horvatovičová (IT/CZ) and Ola Grzonkowska (PL).

The idea is to involve into the project a group of artists who are working in the field of public art and interventions in the urban space. Moreover the aim is to conduct research in land/ground which is dedicated to conservation and development of industrial areas in Europe and the problem of privatization the costs and of global consumption of water, and to analyze about the use of waterways as a means of transport and communication. The difficult cohabitation between the industrial areas and the water areas, sea and groundwater reservoirs is the starting point of the HEROES project.

The idea is to create a specific WEB TV and a BLOG DIARY of project HEROES.

Specifically, the idea presented in real time in WEB TV interviews, TALKS with some local experts and visits and project proposals in different industrial areas and water choices within a BLOG DIARY.
The DIARY BLOG will be the official website of the travelling project, will be the main means of communication between curators and artists from the three countries involved, Italy, Poland and the Czech Republic

The DIARY BLOG will be a forum where you can exchange views, debate among curators, artists and visitors to the site, but will be the platform where the official will be commented videos documentaries broadcast in the WEB TV HERO.
Web TV HERO will be the main section of the BLOG DIARY, where the meetings will be presented between artists, curators and the local people, and where possible will be documented performance and site-specific works of the authors during the workshops organized in the cities of Naples, Gdansk and Kladno and Prague where we could possibly play a TALK in collaboration with the Festival Industrialni stopy 2011.

All results of the workshop will be updated on the blog- Hero DIARY.

The problematic which concerns these three cities - Kladno, Gdańsk and Naples – is the historical, economical and political meaning of the industrial zone, thought the prism of the water meaning.
