KLADNO.

KLADNO, industrial complex POLDI, 2011

The ancient industrial complex POLDI in Kladno is one of the most interesting large scale cement tanks containing both water and various chemicals used in steel production and derivatives.
Besides the great entrepreneurs who are destroying the most ancient but dilapidated industries POLDI built in 18. century to build in their place enormous prefabricated industrial, the area is inhabited by a community of gypsies who daily sells scrap iron and metal extracted from the tanks, the old train rails, scaffolding of buildings. Work that is continued for years and deserves to be told. Certainly a direct resident artists and gypsies that inhabit the POLDI could be the start of the workshop in Kladno and research work of local art. Other interesting research is the old houses in style Art Nouveau built around the factories such as architect Hoffman.
Direct contact of artists with the local population is sure to be one of the main residence will be included also on the BLOG HEROES. Now growing in beech and plant species that certainly deserve to be documented and discussed by artists.
